SafariSnaps is a sighting and scoring wildlife tagging game. Watch the live streams, snapshot and tag the animal, get a rarity rating and then climb your way to the top of the leaderboard. The rarer the animal the higher your score!
How to play SafariSnaps

It’s easy to play. The tricky part is finding the animals.
Step 1: Watch the live streams and look for animals to tag. You can only tag one species per live sighting session. When they enter and when they exit. The more elusive the animal, the higher the score. The rarity rating for each animal was carefully calculated on how many times they visit the cameras.
Step 2: Snapshot and then tag the animal using the dropdown menu to identify it. Descriptions are optional. You can only tag an animal once per sighting and only one species per snapshot. If you can’t find the animal, or don’t know what it is, have a look at the identity kit.
Step 3: When you’ve tagged the animal, you’ll see the rarity rating, the number of tags for that species, the number of times you have tagged the species, and the points.
Step 4: Follow your scores and stay ahead of the rest of the players on the leaderboard. If you’re curious about your competition, click on their name and view their tags.
If you scroll down, you can also see all the latest tagged animals and their scores from all the Africam cameras.
The more animals you tag, the more data we can collect on our beautiful African wildlife – this can be used for conservation research.

This is your chance to tag all the wildlife we see on the Africam cameras – common elephants, seldom seen leopards, rare lions, and the elusive aardvark.
